Elena Hernandez Martinez, Ph.D.

I am currently an AI Researcher at the appliedAI Institute for Europe (TransferLab), where I work on advancing machine learning research and its applications across scientific domains.

I completed my PhD at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich within the Computational Astrophysics Research Group, where my research focused on developing and analyzing cosmological simulations to study structure formation in the universe.

 

Before that, I was a Guest Researcher at the Flatiron Institute of the Simons Foundation (spring term 2024), where I worked on integrating machine learning techniques with cosmological simulations and galaxy cluster data.
